Wird ("we", "our", or "the app") is a Muslim prayer habit tracker. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Prayer Data

All prayer tracking data — including your daily prayer logs, streak history, and habit records — is stored 100% on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage). This data is never transmitted to any server. We cannot access, read, or recover your prayer data.

2. Anonymous Onboarding Analytics

When you complete the onboarding flow, we send a small set of anonymous data to our server (Supabase) to help us understand and improve the onboarding experience:

This data is anonymous — there is no account, no login, and no way to tie it to your real-world identity.

3. Feedback

If you voluntarily submit feedback through the app's settings, we collect:

Feedback is sent to our Supabase database. We only collect this data when you explicitly submit the feedback form.

4. Usage Analytics

We use PostHog to collect anonymous app usage events such as screen views, button taps, and onboarding funnel progression. This helps us understand how the app is used and improve the experience.

5. Subscriptions

Subscriptions are managed entirely by RevenueCat and Apple. Wird does not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card number, or Apple ID. All billing is handled through Apple's App Store.

6. Prayer Times

To fetch accurate prayer times, the app sends your city and country to the Aladhan API (aladhan.com), a free, public prayer times service. Prayer times are cached locally on your device to minimize network requests.

7. Location

The app uses location services (expo-location) only when you explicitly tap "Detect my location" to set your city for prayer times. Your location is:

8. Push Notifications

Wird uses expo-notifications to schedule prayer reminders. All notifications are scheduled and triggered locally on your device. There is no remote push notification server. We do not send you marketing messages or third-party notifications.

9. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

The third-party services we use are limited to:

10. Children's Privacy

Wird is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

11. Data Deletion

Since Wird does not require an account, uninstalling the app deletes all local data (prayer logs, streaks, settings) from your device permanently.

To request deletion of any data stored on our servers (anonymous onboarding responses or feedback), please contact us at the email below. We will process your request within 30 days.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
